The T-shirt design to advertize this book has apparently violated the censors at Zazzle.

Here's their comment: "Unfortunately your Zazzle product was removed because it contained an image/design text in violation of our user agreement. Images/text depicting or referencing Adolph Hitler, Nazi Germany and other Nazi related items are prohibited."

And this was my reply: "You do realize that my book Hitler the Cat Goes West is a satire, right?? In it I deliberately satirize virtually every social and political institution imaginable -- and some that aren't! Rememvber the First Amendment?? You should read it! [both -- my book and the Amendment]"

So...in the spirit of being "Zazzled" here's the key production number from Mel Brooks' The Producers -- "Springtime for Hitler."

It's not about Hitler, Cats or Travel!

It's A Socio-Political Satire of the Near Future. Someone said, if Kurt Vonnegut, Ambrose Bierce and Charles Bukowski had a baby (don't ask me how) they'd call it "Hitler the Cat Goes West"! "Hitler the Cat Goes West," has been likened to a more sardonic Kurt Vonnegut than Vonnegut.

In a personal review written by Dean Vivian Sinou [Foothill College, Los Altos Hills, California] she states: "I rarely read books during the academic year anymore...You sparked my curiosity, and I found reading a bit of your book in the evenings a nice escape from the computer. It was a refreshing, much needed change in my hectic schedule. Of course, it helped that the book kept me engaged. It's so preposterous and believable at the same time. I love how you portray the masses - sheep! The whole hotel section - 25 pages or so - were my favorite."

Another reviewer wrote: "HTCGW made me think, laugh, shudder, and kept me entertained. I was unable to put the book down. I had to finish it."
